Hi everyone!
I know I haven't updated in a really long time, so I thought today would be the day. Today I am at home, sick. I am feeling a lot better than I was this morning, which is saying something. I didn't have a fever but my stomach really hurt and I had a bad headache. I had some Cop of Noodles for lunch today and some cookies for dessert, but that's about it. For dinner tonight I am having pork chops made on the grill.
To get to the more important stuff, two weeks ago I had an audition for The Nutcracker. Yesterday was my day of doom when I would get my casting call. To my surprise, I had landed the role of a party girl! I am very lucky to get that part because I am on stage for a while, and I get a beautiful costume! Not to mention I have five performances and all of them will be on pointe! Lately in class, I have been landing triple pirouettes and most of them are on pointe. I start rehearsals next week some time and I have a costume fitting soon too!
I started school three weeks ago and I have made some new friends. Halloween is coming up soon and I still haven't decided what I am going to be. I just began to read The Fellowship Of The Ring. If I finish by the time Halloween comes, I might be a hobbit. Plus, I have extremely hairy feet which adds to the whole effect. A lot of people have been talking about Halloween at my school, so they must be doing something fun for it.
Ballet wise, I got a pair of Freed Studio pointe shoes a little while back. I have already broken them and I adore them! I am not sure whether I am going to stay with them because they break down really quickly. My teacher prefers us to all have Russian Pointe, which is a brand I have already been fitted in and I really like. I wouldn't mind going back to them actually. I think I am going to get them a week or so before my first performance of The Nutcracker. That way I can break them in a bit and get used to them.
Sorry for all my rambling today! I am going to try to do at least a post every few days, but it is really hard with school. I hope you enjoyed my post today. Comment below of some ideas to post about later and I will try to do them!

Nina

The Multi-Tasking Fiend
Hello,
You are most likely thinking right now, 'Who is the multi-tasking fiend?' I AM THE MULTI-TASKING FIEND. As I am doing this post, I am listening to Bolero by the Orchestre de Paris. Where there is a conductor who can direct the orchestra telepathically. I am also listening to my brother singing "Oh, By Jingo." Which is a song from the 1920's in a T.V series called 'Jeeves and Wooster'.
I am also reading my friend, Fenian's blog post from a week ago. My brother has now finished singing and has moved on to putting together his desktop computer, with no success I might add. Poor thing. He is now complaining that he needs my Dad's help, who is the computer genius in this house. In fact he just got a new laptop. Lucky. My brother has now gone downstairs to get some help, meanwhile I am sitting in his warm bed.
After I finish this post, I will continue reading my book for school, which I am already more than half of the way into. The book is called The Princess and the Goblin. It is a very good book about a little princess who meets a miner boy named Curdie. I think they have something to do with goblins. The princess has no idea that goblins exist, in the meantime, she is thinking about her beautiful Great- Great- Grandmother, who lives at the top of her house.
I hope you like the new background I put on my blog! Please comment on today's post and vote on the poll!
Ta ta for now,
Nina

The Tale of Erzebet Ellenmonosa
Hi everyone!
Today I wanted to post my friend Fin's (Erzebet) poem. Fenian just read the Harry Potter series and is know obsessed with the books. She sent me this poem a while back, but I just thought of posting it now, The link at the bottom is the link to her blog. Enjoy!
My name is Erzebet Ellemonosa

My name is Erzebet Ellemonosa
A wizard I have been
I entered Hogwarts wizarding school
At age of eleven
I have many tales to tell
All which are quite true
I have told no one of them
So now I shall tell you!
Dear reader, first, please be aware
These stories may make you stop and stare
And ask yourself, "Can this be true?"
It can happen to you, too!
It was a fine nice afternoon
I would have to leave Hogsmeade soon
But then I pointed, I stopped, I cried!
And listen, dear reader, for this is no lie!
If you traced my gaze, my unbreaking stare
It lead to Harry, Hermione, and the one with the red hair!
They seemed so happy
So nice and caring
I hope they didn't mind my stare!
But the wind was coming, and blowing fast
And I blew away, up in the air at last!
My feet were twelve feet above the ground
I could see Hogwarts, Hagrid, and his giant hound!
But as my height increased a ton
I realized flying this high was not so much fun!
I flapped my arms just like real wings
To no avail
Arms alone do not work; to fly, you need the real thing!
But suddenly I looked all the way down
And my pleasant smile changed into a frown
I was coming down alright, headed right for the ground!
I tried to stop my fall, tried to fly back up
To no avail
I had no good luck
As soon as I awoke,
I realized with a shock where I was
In the hospital wing with Mrs. Pomfrey
And my friends mentioned what horrible things she does!
From regrowing Potter's bones with a fowl potion
To healing common rashes with a mysterious lotion
I wanted to leave, to scream, to run
But my leg was broken, the damage was done
I drank horrible tea day after day
Whenever would my leg heal? Tomorrow? Today?
I got restless and weary
I wanted to leave
I was getting quite sick of that dreadful ghost Peeves!
Finally one day my leg had healed
But a bruise remained, it was purple and teal
The bruise reminds me of that dreadful year
But stories are not always as they appear
So my lovely dear reader
I do hope you were pleased
With my awful, true story
For which I was teased
And I hope you are careful
To know what is fact
Because this could be all false
It could be an attack!
But I am no liar
I am an honest, kind wizard
Whose playful charm went wrong
And turned into a lizard!

In The Bathroom, Hidden. And Scared.
Hello everyone!
I thought that I should do a blog post about my narrow room escape. It started out with the Victorian/ Neo- Gothic hotel that I am staying in. My mom, brother and I are staying in one room, but when my sister and dad come, we'll get another one.
Somebody had checked out of the room a couple of days ago. So I wanted to check it out, thinking that it wouldn't do any harm to look in a weird Victorian hotel that wasn't mine. But was going to be. Then, I walk in to the room and immediately to the right, I see a caged bed! It really is a caged bed with some lace on the top of it. ODD, NOT EVEN. I am now thinking, 'What is up with this place?' I keep looking around in the room.
Next, I am about to get out of the room and my arm just barely brushes the outside of the caged bed. I just am about to leap out the door when I hear the inn- keeper walking around below. This is when I start freaking out. She comes upstairs and... I hide in the bathroom. Pathetic, right? She walks in and I think, 'What will she do if she finds me? Slap me?' She looks everywhere in the room except for the bathroom.
Lucky me.

I AM COW
Hi everyone!
Today, I thought I should make a post about a song that I found on Youtube. Actually, my sister found it for me. She finds everything for me, really. Right, back to the song. The lyrics are very funny and are about cows. While listening to the song, you see pictures of different cows or sometimes places. I will post the words to the song at the end of this post, as well as the link.
The thing about this song is that it is complete nonsense. I know what you are probably thinking right now, "Who the hell made up this song in the first place?" I should refrain from using such language, but I thought it was needed. Well, there really is no reason why this song should exist, but I guess the creator had nothing to do for the moment.
If you have already seen this song, then good for you. "If not, then we'll get to that later." (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)
I am cow,
Hear me moo
I weigh twice as much as you
And I look good on the barbaque
Yogurt,
Curd,
Cream Cheese,
And butter's
Made from liquid from my udders
I am cow,
I am cow,
Hear me moo
I am cow,
Eating grass
Methane gas comes out my ***
And out my muzzle when I belch
Oh,
The ozone layer is thinner,
From the outcome of my dinner,
I am cow,
I am cow,
I've got gas
I am cow,
Here I stand,
Far and wide
Upon this land
And I am living
Everywhere
From B.C
To Newfoundland,
You can squeeze my teats
By hand
I am cow,
I am cow,
I am cow,
I am cow,
I am cow,
I am cow!

THE MEAT TOUR!
Hi everyone!
My Dad, Uncle, Sister, and I are going on the famous meat tour!!! Since we all love good meat, we decided this would be a very good idea.
First off, we need to start with some very good steak. My uncle most likely knows a few places that are very good, considering his rotund shape. We want to get as much good food as possible, so we might get some Korean barbeque, and maybe some good lamb. On my list, I would also like to get some delicious hamburgers. Perhaps sausages too!
My uncle has been living in this place for a while, so he should have a bunch of good restaurants in store for us. We should be able to go around for a day, just eating as much meat as we can possibly stuff ourselves with. I would really love to get some chinese and japanese meat too, because I think that there might be some good places my uncle has heard about.
Sorry for those of you that are vegetarians and follow my blog. I hope you don't get too grossed out by this post. Being the rabid meat- eaters in our family, I thought I should make a post about this. I will be having lunch with Erzebet tomorrow. I have never been to the place that I am going to, but hopefully I will enjoy it.
I hope you like the new makeover I did for my blog! It just needed a change. Post a comment for idea's for my next post!

The Horror Story
Kind of...
I thought that today I should blog about the movie I watched with my brother and sister. It's called Jane Eyre. Basically, in my view, it's a horror movie. Technically it's not because it's NR(not rated.) But, I thought that it was SCARY. It's about a girl names Jane Eyre who had a horrible past, that when she was bad they put her in THE RED ROOM. The Red Room is the place where her uncle died. So you see a forty- year- old uncle sitting up in bed. In my opinion, he looked pretty creepy. So then, her aunt ships her off to an orphanage, where she is once put on stool with a sign that says "LIAR", without anything to eat or drink for a day. Then, in a year or two, her best friend, Helen Burns, dies of the Fever. Then once she finishes her education, she stays at the orphanage to be a teacher.
Next, she gets an invitation to come and be a teacher for a young french girl, named Adèle. The owner of the house or mansion as I think it is, is named Rodchester. I know, lots of British names, right? To get to the scary stuff, it has the famous door knob rattling sequence. at first you see her open the door, and it is the dog, Pilot. Next time it happens, you don't see anyone at the door. Freaky, right? Then Jane is always seeing a bright red scarf flying out of the window and lights turning on and off at night.
Then, there is a really weird painting of sad people walking around in a village. Some of the people are crying, and some just look plain sad. I have only watched part one of this move, but when I finish the next part I will finish up this post.
XOXO,
Nina

Music In The Parks!!!
Yesterday, I went to Music In The Parks! Basically, It's a mixture of music and roller coasters! After you preform in front of two judges, you go to Hershey Park, and have six hours of fun. I went on a bunch of different roller coasters, the fastest going 100 miles per hour! So anyway, I ate my way through the park! I had funnel cake, milkshakes, sundaes, chocolates, dippin'dots, french fries... :) I think the funniest part was that when I went on all of the roller coasters, I had just eaten, and surprisingly, I didn't throw up! Back to the music part now, for my school, we preformed to songs. Hello Girls and A Joyful Gloria. I prefer A Joyful Gloria because it's in latin, so you can't understand what you're saying. Also, because there is a very pretty harmonization, in the middle of the song. But, we won the whole competition for Middle School Choirs! We got first place!!!!!! Yay! I think that any of you reading this, should recommend Music In the Parks to your school choir. It's lots of fun, and it has got very god food along with it!!!!!!!

Mini Week!!!
Today, I thought I should talk about my amazing mini week, Infectious Diseases. Mini Week takews place over a series of 3 days, were everyone choses a group they would like to be in. As I just said, I was in the Infectious Diseases mini week. On the first day, we took the train to the Mutter Museum. There was a wide range of different models and artifacts, that were affected by diseases. One of the most intresting that we saw was Greengan. (I think thats how you spell it...) It is a deathly disease that turns your skin black. But, after you skin does turn a bad shade of gray, you would have to get it amputated, and that can sometimes lead to too much blood loss... Another cool thing that we saw was the corset exhibet. We were shown women's skeletons, and how their rib cage was drawn in too tightly, it could couse short of breath, and heart attacks. The other stuff, like the exhibet on 2 siamese twins. We saw a model of what their bodies looked like. The tour guide told us about how they needed eachother to live, because the blood circulation was going through each of their bodies. So, when one of them died the other would die within 1 hour, because the living twin would not be getting their blood back from the dead brother.(TRAGIC) I have to go to class now, but I will keep you posted about the other days of my amazing mini week!

Part 1
Since I have not updated for a while, today I decided that I should do an extremely long post! It will also be in two parts, and this is the first. First off, I saw a play called Tom Sawyer. It was pretty good for a Mark Twain play. Anyways, if you don't know the story of Tom Sawyer, it's about a boy, maybe 12 or 13. He has a friend named Huck Finn, who is always getting into trouble. But the two boys go on adventures together, like being pirates on a made up island... We saw the play at the Peoples Light And Theatre, somewhere far away. All in all, I think you should go see it. Mainly because it's pretty good, and also because it's got just really funny accents. Next, I should talk about my amazing art project! Basically 2 of my friends and I, were working on an art project involving recycled materials. We took National Geographic magazines and made them look like pieces of fringe. Then, we put them all together and made a skirt, with a layer of cotton underneath. Eventually, Madeline took the skirt home. And right now it is 78 degrees!!! So I changed into shorts and a t- shirt!!!!!!

My Day In General
Today, I had an extremely boring day. First off, we had school two hours late because of the snow that was a couple of inches high, and that was completely pointless because all the streets were cleared! But, furthermore, I missed my two favorite classes, Social Studies, and French. I was completely astounded to wake up this morning, half asleep, to find that my sister, Marilyn had not even woken up, and my brother teasing me, saying he had the whole day off, when of course he really didn't. Since my mom had to drag me and my sister to work, I obviously did not want to get out of my cozy bed, with three cats sitting around me. But, like every two hour delay we have, I am forced to go to my mom's office, when I was supposedly sleeping. When I arrived at school, everyone was raving about how they were granted the wish of sleeping in, and watching TV. All of my friends asked me what I did, and of course, I was very unhappy. Although the morning was the worst, I did get a very nice partner for an english reading project kind of thing. We decided on reading a book called The Shadow Thieves. Since I am usually a book worm, and I hate the books we have to read for school, I decided to finish the book as quickly as possible. My english teacher told me that I could NOT speed ahead of my partner, so after that I became very upset.

DOSA HUT AND CHATHOUSE!!!!!!!!! (a loooooong time ago)
Sorry I haven't updated for a long time, there were thing I had to attend to some other matters that needed attending to. Anyway, while I was not updating, I went to have a delicious dinner of dosa's at Dosa Hut and Chathouse. They had very very yummy dosa's, and those of you who don't know what a dosa is, basically it's like a really thin crepe stuffed with different ingredients. When it's not stuffed things, and is hollow on the inside, you usually get different sauces and things to out inside of it. Although we had dosa's as a main dish, we did have appetizers too. Those mainly consisted of little snack- like foods that were very yummy. All but one which was like a corn chip dipped in salt water, that was NOT the most delicous item on the menu. My favorite appetizer was the Malai Kofta, which were these small cheese balls in a sauce, but when you put the sauce over rice it was even better! There was another dish that had raw onions, peppers, and chick peas, with a really good sauce over all of it. The whole reason that my family went to this restaurant is because my sister's and my friend, Simran. Since my family adores indian food, we decided to take her recommendation. And as you should see, we LOVED it!!!!!!! I am thinking of going there for my birthday, next month........

My Sister's 14th Birthday Party Planning
As most of you know my sister is planning her 14th birthday party. She and my uncle have been working on this for ages and keep talking about it! One idea I have heard is Tiffin catering to have a picnic on Mount Doom, another is going to the pool and once again be catered from Tiffin. I personally like the idea of Mount Doom because then you will have a refreshing indian lunch along with a dip in the lava. If you have any suggestions please write them here! bye!

Les Ballets Trockadero
Ballet has one of the hardest things, pointe! You have most likely only seen women on pointe, but have you ever seen _men_? The trockadero is a group of men who pretend to be women and they play all the parts of women. But the best part is that they try to be serious and it never works and most people go to see them not only for their ballet but for their humor! You can go on youtube and search Trockadero dying swan. Bye!

The New Sign
Astrologically, the stars aren't aligned. After the 3000 years from when the ancient people started the chart that gave you your "sign", the earths axis has wobbled, making the stars unaligned. This, combined with the fact that there actually was a 13th sign, lead to the decision of adding a new sign. Now there is the Ophiuchus, from November 29 to December 17. Most of the world is having an identity crisis, screaming, "I have been a Libra all of my life, and I always will!" and other, equally confused comments. Even people who claimed not to care or believe in the stars are furious. I wonder whether all of the uproar on Facebook, Twitter, and the web will cause the astrologers to revoke the new sign. Hopeful thinking, but probably not. So, new Libras and Capricorns, get used to this new position on the calendar, because you'll probably be there because you're going to be there for another 3000 years.
My sisters weird dream
Well 2 nights ago my sister had a dream with me walking down the aisle in a black lace wedding dress, towards Lord Voldemort. My bridesmaid was Bellatrix LeStrange and Voldy's best man was Davy Jones. I was almost to meeting my Voldy when Bellatrix slit my throat and put on _my_ wedding dress and married my poor poor little Voldy instead of me! I know it's sad isnt it?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??

Once Again....
Once again there was not a snow day! But I still have hope, there is supposed to be a snow storm Thursday night into Friday! I got back my Latin quiz: A+! At my house right now all the snow has melted so I wont slip anymore, thank goodness! :) And most of the "snow" was actually ice and not snow so it was not what we usually get where I live. But my sister's friend's family is on a "low-carb diet" now and for breakfast they had bean mush and for lunch they had more bean mush, and I think you can guess what they had for dinner (bean mush.) My school day was rather boring and I just watched an amazing movie called The Miracle Worker in English class, and that was the highlight of my day, and even that was not much. But anyways the movie is about how Annie Sullivan taught Hellen Keller (blind, deaf, and unable to speak from a sickness when she was one and a half) to speak and read and write in brail. It is a true story and it is a very good movie and book to read for information about Hellen Keller and Annie Sullivan. That is all for today!

My recent life
I am very sorry that I have not updated my blog for a few days but I must fill you in on my recent life. Today I woke up and had no breakfast whatsoever and I sat around and did video chat with my best friend, Fin. We talked for about 30 minutes and then I decided I wanted to get dressed. Then 20 minutes later I decided I was bored so I went to talk to Fin on video chat again. Then I was hungry so I wanted to eat lunch so I went up stairs to find my father working on a paper and my sister knitting and my brother studying for his test tomorrow. I was REALLY hungry so I said "Dad, I am hungry, can we eat now?" So he said yes and then I had ramen noodles with beef broth. And then I lazed around for the rest of the day. Yesterday I did the absolute same thing except I watched a horrible version of The Importance of Being Earnest. Then went to bed around 10:00 and I then I slept very well. Also I may not have school tomorrow because according to weather. com, there is to be a "wintry mix" accumulating about 1-3 inches. After tomorrow there is supposed to be another storm of 3-6 inches so that may cancel school then too!!! I am sooo happy!!!!! That is all for today! Bye!

An unexpected dinner
The day before yesterday an unexpected dinner came. Some delicious dosas and lots of good indian food! My uncle came with my aunt and we had such a party! Of course my parents knew that they were coming but my brother sister and I didnt know! The food came from a nearby (VERY GOOD) indian resturaunt down the street and when we got the food it was still hot! They gave us all presents and the best one was the album of them at the wedding in Mexico! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1. Get 3 A's and 2 B's in all of the academic subjects.
2. To not sprain or twist anything in my body. (I really doubt that one though!)
3. To catch up with this boy named Olin on my flute! (He started 4 years before me, but I'm almost there!)
